About Tactical Solutions LLC:
Tactical Solutions, LLC is a product development, design and manufacturing company located near Las Vegas Nevada. Tactical Solutions, LLC is a very small but effective company and has reached all corners of the free world’s military, police agencies and US citizens with its product line.
Founder Rich Brough is a former law enforcement officer who decided it was time to roll the dice, take an early retirement and start a company based on his product developments. Rich has been an inventor since he was very young and had longed for the opportunity to really do something about it. That opportunity came in 1999.
During his Law Enforcement career he spent years as a member of a 26 man metro area SWAT team and found that the work was fantastic but the tools provided by the agency were not up to speed with the requirements of a sharpshooter (his primary assignment while on SWAT). He found it disconcerting that the agency would not supply night vision equipped rifles and spotting scopes for the eight sharpshooters on the team. Since approximately 98% of all barricaded suspects, and other violent criminal situations involving hostages and so on, take place during hours of darkness it only made perfect sense to him that night vision equipment was imperative.
Since the agency would not purchase this type of equipment, Rich set out to develop a tool that would provide a solution to this tactical problem. Rich went out and purchased a night vision monocular with his credit card and with his off duty time and money invented a unique night vision adapter system that would allow him to attach it to the eyepiece of his riflescope as the eyepiece of his spotting scope. This allowed the use of both rifle and spotting scope during the hours of darkness.
It took time, money, overcoming self doubts, nay sayers and lots of paperwork but a patent was eventually issued. Richard took that patented design and began using it and selling it with good results. He quit his career after 8 years (with that particular agency) and started making, selling and delivering the new products full time. The name of the product eventually became the “MonoLoc” Night Vision Adapter System (US trademarked). After three years of poverty, advertizing, personalized demonstrations and all the associated traveling, time and expenses he landed a US Army contract from the Special Forces at Ft. Bragg, NC. The rest is history…
Since that time, the company has grown and the products made and sold have grown and morphed into other designs and patents. Almost all the designs have been widely accepted within the US Dept of Defense, Federal Law Enforcement, US Police Agencies and our Military Allies as well. Even civilians have taken a liking to some of the equipment. However, approximately 97% or more of sales go to US Military or US Police agencies or their individual members.
Rich feels it is a humbling privilege and an honor to be a US Citizen and have the blessings of a merciful God, who gave him the knowledge and ability, to conduct his business with so many great men and women who wear our nations uniforms of both the Military and Law Enforcement communities.
